Network Team Member Job Description
Project /Practice Management
o Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
o Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
o Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and operations.
o Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
o Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
o Liaising with the vendor/partners to ensure seamless integration and coordination of tasks.
o Responsible for translating any new business requirements into technical specifications.
o Managing and conducting communications and change plans with the stakeholders.
o Creating and circulating status reports to stakeholders.
o Establishing agreed timelines and responsibilities.
o Ensures all documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
o Arranging meetings with various service providers, vendors for discussion of the projects, timelines, SLA and operational issues.
o Day-to-day network performance monitoring.
o Oversee the management of a team of outsources operations resources. Provide oversight and direction for outsourced operations resources.
o Responsible for ensuring the maximum possible service availability, SLAs and performance.
o Network troubleshooting and fault analysis.
o Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools.
o Trouble ticket generation and response.
o Application of configuration changes via change control systems and processes.
o Installation of network hardware and software.
o Experience with management of vendor/ partners/ outsourced service providers.
o Ensuring efficient management of service requests, incidents and operational issues in a timely manner.
o Availability, Capacity, Performance, Incident and Problem management.
o Drive a process of continuous improvement based upon elimination of defects through pro-active and reactive root cause analysis and automation
o MIS reporting.
o Strong communication skills.
o 7-10 years of relevant work experience in network projects and operations preferably in Banking / Financial Services organization.
o A good understanding of different products from Cisco, and networking product of various makes.
o Good exposure to Datacenter LAN technologies and its monitoring, management and operations.
o Hands on experience in implementing and configuration of Layer 3 and Layer2 Switches, Nexus series of Datacenter switches, Catalyst line of chassis switches, access and distribution switches.
o Exposure to Network Access Control technologies like Cisco ISE.
o Understanding and hands-on experience on Wireless technologies and Wireless controllers.
o A good understanding & hands-on on networking switching protocols like HSRP, GLBP, VRRP, VLAN, Inter-VLAN routing, ACLs, MLS, VTP, ISL, 802.1Q trunks, STP, RSTP, PVST, SPAN, EtherChannel, PAgP and LACP etc.
o TCP / IP - ARP, ICMP, DHCP, TCP / UDP, IP addressing
o Application layer: FTP, DNS, SNMP, NTP, Telnet and SSH
o Authentication services - RADIUS, TACACS+, Cisco ACS / ISE
o Monitoring tools Solarwinds, LAN sniffers, Cisco Prime, Cisco DCNM
o Ticketing tools BMC Remedy
o High trouble shooting skills in LAN, WAN problems.
o Structured cabling knowledge (CAT6, Fiber)
Educational Qualifications and certifications
o B.E. or Diploma (Elex or Elex. & Telecommunications)
o CCNP / CCIE preferred
o M3 / M4
Salary: INR 12,00,000 - 15,00,000 PA.
