2. Smart buy , alliances
4. Business Profitability
1. MDR betterment
2. Mix change ( Debit and credit )
3. Fuel Product and Portfolio management
4. Regulators, Government &Franchisee Management

Job Responsibilities(JR) : 6 - 8 Areas Actionable (4-6)
1. Engaging Merchants Engaging merchants. Being among top 3 acquirers in
terms of no. of merchants enlisted, without
compromising on quality, and top acquirer in terms of
vols

2. Acquiring & Growing Spends  Acquiring 1.25 lac crore spends on POS
 Conceptualizing and deploying multiple
Merchant Engagement programs for
increasing spends
 Engaging with Issuing teams for cash back
offers for large merchants and convincing
merchants to create visibility for the same to
attract more customer footfalls
 Working with merchant engagement team
and enrolling merchants under Smart Buy
program, thereby providing offers and
incentive to bank card holders to increase
spends at these merchants
 Strategic initiatives for each segment for
capturing maximum market share and
penetration

3. Portfolio Management

 Analyzing internal and external merchant data
on profitability, ticket size, industry out-
growers, float potential, EMI / DCC potential,
etc. and determing Key Focus Segments
 Data analytics and providing tactical inputs to
sales on Nil merchants, Drop merchants,
declining trend merchants, sudden stop
merchants, etc. and timely intervention for re-

activation
 Strategic pricing decisions and promos for Key
Focus segments with collateral benefits like
EMI, DCC, etc.
 Onus pricing strategy for Key large Merchants
with engagement of Issuing team. Identifying
low penetration segments and devising onus
pricing strategy for increasing penetration.
 "Debit only" pricing strategy for select high
impact merchants deeply entrenched with
competition
 Ensuring up sell of digital products and cross
sell of bank products in merchant portfolio
 Ensuring terminal rationalization to ensure
there is optimum utilization of assets
Revenue

Revenue  Under coordination with revenue team Critical
analysis of pricing under POS for different
segments and devising pricing strategy for key
focus segments
 Under coordination with revenue team Re-
pricing of non-profitable merchants with
negative contribution / no float / no other
benefit to bank. Managing this highly sensitive
exercise smoothly without major reduction in
overall volumes for the product
Implementing multiple fees & charges for
shoring up revenue without negative impact
on volumes. GPRS rentals, EDC rentals for
retail, Installation fees, Low usage charges,
Lost terminal charges, Physical MPR charges

Compliance & Industry initiatives

 Implement Regulatory guidelines laid
down by RBI in portfolio merchants
 Ensure adherence of Franchisee Norms
(Visa / MasterCard) and Industry practices
 Closely Track ,Review And Ensure
Controls In Place For Adherence On Bank
Policy And Norms
 Represent bank for all industry wide
initiatives including meeting with senior
officials of RBI for representation


Cross Sell  Activating (1) ME CVM Team (2) Service Team for
Cross-selling of Asset and other products to
Merchants. Activating & enhancing Cross-sell by
 Identifying target segment for each product - e.g.
Merchant owner for Car Loans, Cashier / Floor staff
for TW Loans / Employees of E-Comm co's for PL /

Cards / Car loans, Govt employees for Car loans
and TW Loans.
 Designing incentive program for telecallers / FOS of
each vertical to motivate them to cross sell

Salary: INR 15,00,000 - 22,50,000 PA.
